Who is Alexander Vinogrdov?
While he would describe himself as a passionate enthusiast, Alexander Vinogradov has quickly become one of Russia's most celebrated portrait photographers. He has now won numerous awards and contests, including The Best of Russia, 35photo.ru, International Photography Awards Discovery of the Year, International Photography Awards Gold, and Sony Photographer of the Year. If you are interested in learning the fine art of the perfect portrait, it would be tough to find a more qualified instructor.
What Kind of Equipment do I Need?
If you're only purchasing the Natural Light Class, then even a modern iPhone or Android camera would do. But of course, to get the most out of Alex's training, it's best to have a modern DSLR or Mirrorless camera, with a full-frame sensor, and a few good portrait lenses (such as 50mm, 85mm, 70-200mm, etc.). And to get the most out of the Studio Light course, you'll want at least one flash strobe.
How Long are the Courses?
Each course comes in just shy of 2 hours. That might seem light, compared to some of the tutorial mini-series sagas which are popular these days... but Vinogradov has managed to be both thorough, and concise, in his instructions. You won't find yourself getting bored, or nodding off - this training is tightly packed, and it's going to make you a far better portrait photographer.
What If I'm Totally NEW to
Portrait Photography?
That's absolutely great - you won't have any bad habits standing between you, and the perfect portraits you'll produce after going through Vinogradov's courses.
How do I Access The Material?
Both courses are available in the Masters of Visuals online academy. You can access them anywhere you have an internet connection, and the training videos are hosted on a global CDN... so they'll load quickly and beautifully, whether you're on blazing-fast wifi, or laggy, third-world cellular service.
Do I Need to Know Russian to Follow Along?
No! And since Alexander is most fluent in Russian, the entire masterclass has been overdubbed in English... so you won't miss a beat.
Which Course Should I Buy?
With the incredible launch discount that we're offering, we'd suggest that you buy both courses! It's a 50% discount from our standard pricing, and it's only available now, for a limited time.
Do I Need Capture ONE? What If I Only
Have Lightroom?
You can certainly follow along if you don't have a Capture One license, and you'll find it incredibly easy to find workflow analogs in Lightroom. But if you're planning to shoot more portraits, Capture One is truly the gold standard - especially for handling skin tones - and you should download the 30-Day, full-featured trial version to see how you like it.
